Pebbles

Have you seen Pebbles?

Pebbles is our PBL mascot. Each week she visits our classrooms to work with our students, sometimes she even goes on our excursions.

PBL Focus

Our goal is to have every student attend rewards afternoon in Week 10. This will be a movie and popcorn. Please encourage your child to follow the Aussie 5 at school and at home.

This week our PBL is Toilet Behaviour. Every student is responsible to take care of the toilets and to honour safety and privacy.

Pride

Students will develop a common understanding of controlling actions by looking after our school environment. This means rubbish in the bins, looking after our own belongings and others, looking after sports equipment and school property and being a proud student.

PBL Focus

Taking Responsibility for our belongings

Students will be talking about how the can take care of all of their belongings.

They will discuss why this is important.

At home you may like to talk to your child/ren about being responsible for their belongings around your home.

PBL Focus

Bus Safety

Students are discussing how to be safe when travelling on our school buses.

1. We must line up quielty and wait for our teacher to take us to the bus.

2. We wait patiently for our turn to board the bus.

3. We always have our bus pass ready to show the driver.

4. We walk onto the bus safely.

5. We sit in our seats all of the way to our stop.

PBL News

PBL for week 10 is a big one. Walking around the school correctly. This means that students develop the correct behaviour for walking in class lines and walking into and out of the hall. Students also understand that they need to walk in 2 straight lines without talking. When they are leaving the hall, they wait for the teachers instructions, stand and walk out without speaking.

We are focusing on 2 Aussie 5 rules and they are I can listen and I can follow instructions.

Week 11 we will focus on Holiday safety and Child Protection.

Students will develop knowledge and demonstrate holiday safety. Road safety, stranger danger and awareness of emergency services. Three R's - Recognise, React & Report. Revision of Protective Strategies, Power in Relationships and Recognising Abuse.

During the last week of term we focus on all of the Aussie 5 school rules.

Our rewards afternoon will be held in week 11 on the Wednesday afternoon. The reward for the children without a red card will be sport rotations as well as an ice block. Congratulations to the students who continue to try hard so they do not receive a red card.
