About our school

Karuah Public School is in the heart of Karuah and is pleasantly situated adjacent to the Karuah River. Our campus is located on the traditional lands of the Worimi people. The name Karuah means, ‘native plum tree’ in the local Aboriginal dialect.

Karuah Public School is a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) School. The school serves a diverse community, drawing students from Karuah Township, neighbouring Swan Bay, North Arm Cove, Carrington and Tahlee Bible College. The Karuah Public School motto, "Look, Listen and Learn" is evident in our aim to develop all students to their full potential. The school provides a sound foundation in the basic skills and promotes active participation and excellence in all academic, social and physical endeavours.

The strengthening of the partnership that exists between students, staff and parents has been a focus for the school and is recognised and valued by all in our school community.
